This moth sculpture comes mostly from a riding mower who wanted a second career.

One of the problems of scavenger-based art is finding multiples, e.g. 4 legs that look the same. In the case of the mower, it had 2 plates in the engine case that were mirror images, and therefore I had to make them into wings.

The color ("patina") comes from heating the steel with a torch. Specific temperatures create specific colors.
